Community Guidelines
Neonyx Idle is a shared city. These are the rules for players - sometimes called the game’s Rules of Conduct - and they apply to public chat, faction chat, direct messages, Territory War chat, display names, faction names and images, and the market. They are part of our Terms of Service.
Treat people like people
- No harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted insults. Trash talk about a duel is fine. Following someone around to make them miserable is not.
- No hate speech or slurs aimed at anyone’s race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- No encouraging self-harm, violence, or illegal activity.
Keep it safe
- No sexual content involving minors, ever. We report it to the authorities.
- No sexually explicit content, including in names and faction images. Players can be as young as 13.
- No sharing anyone’s personal information, including real names, addresses, phone numbers, photos, or social accounts, without their permission. That includes your own if you are a minor.
- No phishing, fake giveaways, or links designed to steal accounts.
Play fair
- No bots, scripts, macros, or modified clients.
- No extra accounts used to funnel items, credits, or votes to another account.
- No buying, selling, or trading accounts or in-game items for real money. Buying from the official Store (on the website through Stripe, or in the Android app through Google Play) is the only real-money purchase that is allowed.
- No scamming in trades or on the market, such as misrepresenting what you are offering.
- Report exploits instead of using them. Finding a bug is fine. Farming it is not.
Names, factions, and chat
- Display names, faction names, tags, descriptions, and images must follow every rule on this page.
- Only upload images you have the right to use.
- No spam, flooding, or repeated advertising, including for other games or servers.
- Don’t impersonate staff, moderators, or other players.
Reporting
Use the report option on a chat message to send it to our moderators with its surrounding context, and block anyone you don’t want to hear from. For anything else, or anything urgent, email ekchelp@easternkc.com. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Enforcement
Moderators appointed by us review reports and flags. A person decides every action, not an automated system. Depending on how serious a violation is, we may remove content, rename a player or faction, or restrict an account. Chat restrictions escalate with each offence:
| Offence | Chat restriction |
|---|---|
| 1st | 30 minutes |
| 2nd | 3 hours |
| 3rd | 12 hours |
| 4th | 4 days |
| 5th | 2 weeks |
| 6th | 1 month |
| 7th | Permanent |
Serious violations, such as threats, sexual content involving minors, account theft, or cheating, may skip straight to account suspension or closure.
Appeals
If you think a moderation decision was wrong, email ekchelp@easternkc.com with your display name and what happened. A different person from the one who made the decision will review it where possible.
